Pet Photography Tips and Tricks
Pets are family members, and people want high quality images of these family members that add so much to their lives.  Jim Hoover, a professional pet photographer, will talk about what makes a good image, and how you can get professional looking images using basic equipment you probably already own. He will demo a photography session while sharing handling and posing tips, and how to get their attention to bring out the pet’s personality.  Next  Jim will show you his basic editing process beginning with Lightroom and then finishing the image in Photoshop.
Jim holds the Master of Photography and Certified Professional Photographer degrees from the Professional Photographers of America (PPA).  His images have earned him the 2015 Gold and 2013 Silver Metals for Photographer of the Year.  Jim’s pet paintings have earned the 2016 Professional Photographers of Michigan first place in the Artist Division, and the Lexjet Sunset Best Print in Exhibition awards.  Additionally, he won the 2016 PPA Northeast District Artist Division first place, and the Canon Par Excellence Award.
