MICHAEL SARNACKI

Is an American photographer who lives and works in his home studio in Royal Oak, Michigan.  He has traveled extensively throughout the world covering special events, documenting unique places, and photographing fascinating people.  He has been a photographer for more than thirty years. His professional work includes hundreds of magazine and corporate assignments.  Over the years he has produced a large body of personal photographs.  Hence, he considers his self-directed work just as important as the work he does for his professional clients.  He is friendly, outgoing, and has always been highly regarded by his students and the photographic community. His photographs have been widely published, exhibited, and his work is included in many museums and institutions.

In 2012 Michael published a book that he worked on for 17 years.  The photography and writing took him to Sri Lanka eleven different times.  It is a large all-encompassing look at one of South Asia’s most famous events – the Kandy Esala Perahera.   The book is available on Amazon.com and at www.SriLankaFestival.com.
