A nationally recognized photographer, has been lecturing, teaching, exhibiting and demonstrating his creative work for over 20 years. Illustrative best describes Bednarski's predominate photographic style. A Detroit native, Bednarski spent his early years at the renowned Cass Tech High School studying fine arts and design which led him to the distinguished Center for Creative Studies where he pursued his natural gift and love of photography. As Graphic Designer and Director of Visual Communication in the corporate sector for many years, along with leadership positions in a national photographic organization, Paul has established himself as a creative artist blending the tools and roles from the past into today's world of digital photography. Paul's ability to execute great images whether working with creative directors and architects in the corporate arena to professionals, authors, and actors comes from his ability to see the beauty in the detail and transform an image that communicates the essence of the project or the individual. When not at work, his lens never leaves his side which allows him to capture "present moments" whether traveling and exploring new cultures, creating succulent dishes from his kitchen, or sailing the high seas. Paul understands the holistic image. "Because all visual detail is part of a collective beauty; an illustrative approach to photography is simply my style of clarifying, reducing and enhancing visual elements that are invisible in the movement world and so prominent in the still."

A Native New Yorker, has refined the art of romancing the soul of his subjects through his lens. Ironically, Steve's love of photography was kindled through the career equivalent of a blind date, his friend and an aspiring designer, asked him to help her create a portfolio. When the photos exceeded her wildest expectations, she encouraged him to develop talent and strike out on his own. After attending New York's School of Visual Arts, Steve became a much sought after fashion and beauty photographer in cities such as Paris, London, Toronto and Taipei. Working as a true fashion photographer all over the globe has allowed Steve to bring a cosmopolitan look to images for a diverse group of clients. Now working in Detroit, Steve continues to photograph for local and national clients. The beauty of Steve's work, what he helps other photographers perfect, is how to achieve a luxury look and feel to images using tools readily available in any local store. Commercial, editorial, and portrait clients are facing ever-tightening budgets and Steve's skills have been much sought after. Steve is very high energy and his students always have fun while learning skills which will position them to produce refined images in less time with less money spent on equipment, set design and post production. No other American artist or photographer has received as many international honors or more professional acclaim than Helen Yancy. But it is the ability to please clients with artful images that provide Helen with her greatest satisfaction. This ability flows from her passion about art, life, family, and people.

Working on location or in her comfortable residential studio, Helen’s goal continues to be creating exquisite art pieces that portray people and their relationships with sensitivity, realism, and imagination.

During her distinguished career, Helen Yancy has earned the rare distinction of being the first person in the world to receive every degree and honor presented by Professional Photographers of America (PPA), the largest and most prestigious professional photographic association in the world. She is a past president and chairman of the board of PPA and is one of only a few Americans to be honored as a Fellow of the British Institute of Photography, in part because of her leadership in creating ties between PPA and the British Institute.

A member of the prestigious Portrait Society of America, Cameracraftsmen of America, and the Society of XXV, a group of 25 exceptional photographic artists from around the world, she is one of fewer than 100 Fellows of the American Society of Photographers. In May 2001, she was honored at the United Nations with a Medallion for leadership, service, artistic and photographic ability by the International Council for Photography, the only organization of its kind recognized by the UN.

Helen Yancy’s oil, watercolor, mixed-media, and photographic portraits hang in hundreds of private homes and in permanent collections and exhibitions.
